Life is not easy. Troubles can come out of no where and the wind can get knocked out of our sails faster than we ever thought possible. When the waves are rough we can worry and try to do things on our own, or we can choose to trust Him and walk with Him moment by moment.
We all go through trials of one kind or another, we all have a different story to tell, each one filled with sorrows and triumphs alike. How we get through them depends on one thing.....our willingness to give it all up to the Lord and leave it in His hands.
Leaving it in His hands is the hardest part for me. Sometimes, this act of surrendering needs to happen day by day, hour by hour, or moment by moment. But when it's done, there is so much peace to be found in His presence because we're resting at the center of His will.
God has a burning desire for us to be completely dependent on Him. He longs to be our Source, our Friend, our Strength, our Ever Present Help in time of trouble . . . the One we turn to first in every situation.
