The Great Objective Of This Life Is Character

Our God who needs nothing, came needy. Our God who came to give us mercy, was at our mercy. Our God who paid with Himself, an incalculable sacrifice, to lay down on the bark of a tree just to pull us close. WOW!.....You have to admit that this is amazing. God...the Creator of the universe....the most powerful force anywhere....loves you so much that He chose you as His special treasure. That's a lot of love. Doesn't that make you want to love Him back?

God's love is steady, strong, and hopeful. Because of that He always hopes you will be more obedient and grow to be more like Christ. Does your love for Him reflect that same kind of strength and persistence? Love Him, no matter what.

You are always "under construction." God is continually working on you. That's kind of cool when you think about it. He never stops working to help you be better - more mature in your faith and more like the person He wants you to be.

Suffering is a wonderful fertilizer for the roots of character. The great objective of this life is character, for it is the only thing we can carry with us into eternity. And gaining as much of the highest character possible is the purpose of our trials. - Austin Phelps

Work for a cause not for applause....Live life to express not to impress....Don't strive to make your presence noticed just make your absence felt. -- Be more concerned with your character than your reputation. Because your character is what you really are....while your reputation is merely what others think you are.

The trials of life are sent to make us, not break us.

The proof of spiritual maturity is not how pure you are but awareness of your impurity. That very awareness opens the door to grace. - Philip Yancey

He will only do as much for us as we will allow Him to do in us. Nothing goes to waste...not even the horrible stuff that happens to us.

Knowing God's there always....arranging pieces of my life....bringing loose ends together....making sense of the confusing....pumping me with hope and peace and joy....not because of perfect circumstances....but just the knowing that He's there....working behind the scenes for my highest good.

Hope anchors the soul! The hope I have in Jesus outweighs all the bad stuff that happens in my life....ALL the bad stuff!

If the problem-side of the scale seems heavy, then focus your faith on the glory-side.

Blessings,
Dalinda
